>> that ne were crossed by youl oe mar prm?oheuc >>ouldn't oppose military action. but the question is where the line is. >> bill: ben affleck has a new movie about iran causing controrsy. can.ill visit as well. arounthe ine. fr"in right now. >> bill: hi. m biei l be a m adston atth sct evening's talking points memo. today a house committee held hearings on the giantcrewup that occurred immediately after our ambassador to libya, christopher stevens, wassassed on september 11. byinhe violence might have been generated by an

anti-muslim tape. we now know ambassador stevens, foreign service officer sean smith, former navy seal and two others were killed in a ped or ak. siios t pti ntto damage president obama's reelection chances. let's take it step by step in a methodical way. on september 12, president obama reacted tohe murder of ambassador stevens by first deateelus beliefsle. of others, but there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. none. >> bill: the next day, secretary of state hillary clinton made a publ stamentgain asg t >> uteernment had absolutely nothing to do wi this video. we absolutely reject its content thry beginning of our

nation. >> bill: notice no mention of the possibility that terrorists attacked us in libya. on september 14, white hoe spokesman jay carney stepped up withhis ena. >>haoron ggtht a preplanned attack. the unrest we've seen around the region has been in reaction to a video that slims, many muslims find offensive. bill: agaitede suri makes a crucial mistake. >> best information and the best assessment we have today is that, in fact, this was not a preplanned, premeditated attack. that what happened itiallyas thatt wa antus ac ttt aned in cairo as a consequence of the video. >> bill: so we are now five days
11:04 pm
into investigating what happened to ambassador stevens and the videotape is still dominating the aisioean. em17hillary clinton spokesperson reiterated that. >> ambassador rice, in her comments on every network over the weekend, was very clear, very precise aboutt our itlestf pp twano st assessment. it was also an assessment that you heard in comments coming from the intelligence community, in comments comi from the white house. >> bill: butwo days ler,o l, ts ced tiyene pde ct of counterterrorism said this. >> certainly on that particular question i would say yes, they were killed in a course of a terrorist attack on our embassy. amadtevens' death as a

terrorist attack. eight days. on september 25, presidenobama addressed the issue on "the view." >> we're still doing an vestigation. theris d t td wnst w u, ongoing assault that it wasn't just a mob action. now, we don't have all the information yeand so we're still gathering it. itotheir fault.w it isya not our fault! others in the administration misled the public. apparently secretary of state clinton not about to te responsibility. one footnote to that confence llscl. ifos alert as you look at the white house, just finished up a phone call, conference call with two senior state department officials.
11:06 pm
fox news has not invited on to this conferee call for reporters. we usually on ts lt, be n ie o t eral >>l:ay fr h of the u.s. military team testified in front of congress. lieutenant colonel andrew wood, angry about what happened, telling cbs news that two security teams werewidrawn cln'atart.ar that put everybody over there in danger, according to the colonel. also today, fnc white house correspondent ed henry grille jay carney. >> did y and others mlead pu bse dt t a t w a orta >>oly. pren the united states referred to it as an act of terror immediately after it occurred. >> then why were you at this podium for seval days after that saying we don't know if it's a terrorist attack. >> i never said that. i never said that we don't kn abtersm erefiobo rrm. pdea clear.
11:07 pm
>> bill: spin aside, there is no question that the obama administration screwed this up. there is no question. they screwed it up. we simplyid not have enough security in libyato pct ic asa e quon gg far was there a conscious effort to cover up that poor security situation? the answer to that question could decide the election. and that's a memo. lina ralph peters. bri i know you're angry about this. and i know you're very critical about this. but let's take it step by step as we did in e talking points memo. that was a fair talking points memo. rrect? thatas otheorht wnmte 1 tug woyou agree with that, that was a fair memo? >> yeah. i think it was beyond fair. you actually gave the white house the benefit of the doubt. >> bill: i think that's the
11:08 pm
right thg to do from my perspective here because there is no smoking gun row aye. isnoor,uh 'sasnating about this is there is a division now between hillary clinton and barak obama. if you want to personalize it. that was a pretty interesting conference call yesterday. the state departmt called it, invitedssep c,ch iras. cd ci purpose and it had to be order by secretary clinton saying, we didn't do it. wasn't us. so who else is? who else? not the department of the interior. all right? who else is it? cinas think tt was sear con a ivment she has -- the escape innovation course and she clearly does not want to take the rap. she clearly understands how deep this problem goes and bill, i can assure you that no serious person in the intelligence
11:09 pm
community at any point believed this was all the fault of a video, speaking -- >> bill: that's beyond a reasonable doubt. video is a foolish excuse at this point. but here is the deal, from my per chair and -- perch, i say it's hillary clinton's fault because she had to okay the withdrawing of the two teams in august, unless barak obama told her to do it and that seems inconceivable. why would a president of the united states care about withdrawing two security teams from libya? so it looks to me like it's right on hillary clinton's doorstep right now. >> there are two separate problems. as far as the responsibility for woefully inadequate security in libya, that is hillary clinton's problem because the boss is responsible for everything that happens or doesn't happen and when we talk specifically about why she did it. but the other problem and it's a distinct problem, is the apparent cover-up. i certainly believe there was one, in my opinion -- of the
11:10 pm
white house panicking when this happened on the 11th anniversary of september 11 because they -- it flashed on them clearly that whoa, they let their guard dawn on this day of all days. >> bill: personalize it even more. so hillary clinton's responsible for the ambassador. it's her guy. she's got to proceeding it him. she didn't. period. now, when you trot out all of the spokesperson, ambassador rice and everybody else and the president himself with the tape, the tape, the tape, the tape, all right, and then you discount all the reports from the field that said hold it. heavy weapons are going in there! this isn't some clown with a jihad flag, all right? this is two seals who couldn't fight these guys off. this was planned. yet eight days! so it's either a cover-up or massive imcompetence, one of the two. there is nothing else! >> one thing i think the media has largely missed is that if
11:11 pm
that mohammed film clip had been a real movie, the president and all his spokespersons would have made it a blockbuster. they publicized it. the president's attention to it. publicized it throughout the muslim world and you have triggered those riots. i trace it back to them. let me go back for just a moment, bill. i'm trying to be fair as well. under condoleeza rice, the state department overdid security to the point they hired thugs, black water types, et cetera, and killed innocent iraqis. i think hillary clinton wanted to do just the opposite. she turned security over to the leftists and there are plenty with the state department. and as a result, you got the other extreme -- >> bill: maybe that's the case. but in the wild west of libya, particularly benghazi, you don't take two -- if do you take two security teams out, you got to explain it. >> and i think i'm explaining it, you can never excuse it.
11:12 pm
the blood of the ambassador and other three americans is on hillary clinton -- >> bill: she owes the nation an explanation. absolutely owe it is and so does president obama and i think this could turn the election. got to run. thanks very much. karl rove on whether mitt romney is surging in the vital swing states. later, dennis miller on big bird. and tomorrow's vice presidential debate. debate. "the factor" w hahahaha! hooohooo, hahaha! this is awesome! folks who save hundreds of dollars switching to geico sure are happy. i'd say happier than a slinky on an escalator. get happy. get geico. melons!!! oh yeah!! well that was uncalled for. folks who save hundreds of dollars switching to geico sure are happy. how happy, ronny? happier than gallagher at a farmers' market. get happy. get geico.

woman: what do you mean, homeowners insurance doesn't cover floods? [ heart rate increases ] man: a few inches of water caused all this? [ heart rate increases ] woman #2: but i don't even live near the water. what you don't know about flood insurance may shock you -- including the fact that a preferred risk policy starts as low as $129 a year. for an agent, call the number that appears on your screen.

enough already. c'mon guys. next question.
11:15 pm
hello! what's your favorite color? what's my favorite color? yes. purple. what's your favorite animal? sea turtle. what's your bedtime? do you believe in space aliens? ...i love puppies. hash browns or home fries? home fries. do you like my dress? why can't you guys ask good questions like this? [ morgan ] for a chance to interview an nfl player... join visa nfl fan offers and make your season epic. >> bill: impact segment tonight, are the swing states swinging over to mitt romney? last night i spoke to the director of the suffolk university polling center. so you're convinced your polling agency is convinced that florida, north carolina, and virginia are going to go for romney? >> that's right. >> bill: joining us from the college of new jersey in the garden state, man closely following the lectural college battle, karl rove.
11:16 pm
the suffolk people pulled out of those states saying their internals show there is no way that the president can win those states. they're not even going to poll again. you say? >> look, i think those states all end in the romney column, but i think we've got a long way to go in the next 27 days. take a look before and after the debate. in florida, before the debate, there were polls, three polls in florida. obama was leading by one, one and three. since the debate, there have been two polls, romney has been leading by three and two. that makes a swing from plus two for obama to plus 2 mav for romney. virginia, same thing. obama up by 2 in two different polls before the debate. after the debate, obama up by 3 in one poll, but romney up by one and three in another poll. north carolina, that state has been trending into the romney camp for months, even real clear politic high school before the debate, romney lead of eight tenths of a percent. there has been one poll in north carolina after the debate and it had a romney margin of nine.
11:17 pm
the obama campaign is spending money in the state, but they've reduced the amount of their television buy by 40% from where it was in june at a time when they're ramping up in every other battle ground state. they can't pull out without if being a news story. >> bill: that's the big indicator, where they allot their television money and north carolina, they pretty much think they're not going to win. but they still are, the obama people, competing heavily in florida and virginia. correct? >> correct. and both sides are spending an enormous amount of money in two very expensive states and in virginia, for example, if you own a tv station in washington, d.c. market, historically you haven't got much in the way of advertising for virginia races. guess what? there is all kinds of television on both sides. >> bill: ohio obviously a vital swing state. have we seen any movement since the first debate in ohio? >> yeah. before hand, there were three polls that had obama at one, eight and four. and one poll had romney ahead by one. since the debate there, have
11:18 pm
been three polls. obama ahead by one and fourer, and romney ahead by one. it's a real clear politics average of 0.8 tenths. looks like movement there. look, it's hard to move only in individual states. the individual states mimic to a lesser or greater extent what's happening nationwide. if you look at that, in the real clear politics average before the debates, it was obama leading by 3.1%. after the debates, as of this afternoon, it's romney leading by a point. that's a swing of 4.1%. and leading 48. that bounce will grow a little bit more as we get polls here in the next couple days. i would not be surprised to see it grow to five points. >> bill: nevada and colorado are two states that mitt romney could win, correct? >> yeah. correct. we've got some polling in colorado. before happened there were four polls. obama won two of them. by three and four points. romney won two by three and four
11:19 pm
points. since then, we had two polls. the real clear politics average is now swung colorado into romney's column by half a point. nevada we haven't had that much polling since the debate. but i got to tell you, looking at private polls going into the debate, nevada is very much within reach for romney and president obama -- >> bill: it would seem that -- >> at foreclosure rate. >> bill: the debate on tuesday is a town hall situation, which is a lot less intense. i don't know if people understand this. i wrote my newspaper column about it this week. the first debate was a mano a mano. now you have people selected by the gallup organization undecided voters, asking the presidents questions and then the -- the candidates. and then they get two minutes to reply to each question, which they can answer anything they want. so it's a much softer format and
11:20 pm
i don't see the potential of a knockout blow there at all. what will probably happen is a draw. i'll give you the last word on it. >> yeah. i think you're right. it's hard to attack. the president has given the last four days lots of indication, including a radio interview where he said he was too polite in the last debate. so you're right. it's hard to attack in a town hall meeting. what matters there is empathy and authenticity. does the candidates seem to respond to the question and develop a connection with the person who is asking it and seem to be direct and on point and authentic about what they're saying. >> bill: all right. if you can fake that, you might be able to win it. know what i'm talking about? >> you can't fake it. >> bill: oh, you can so! you can fake it. >> no, no. this is where it all shows up. look, this is like the emperor's new clothes. at the end of the parade, we see them exactly as they are. >> bill: all right. >> no, no. >> bill: we have a brand-new fox news poll to tell mr. rove and
11:21 pm
you about. romney leading obama 46-45 before the debate. 48-43 obama. big swing. among likely independent voters, romney ahead 44 to 32. look at that. 25% still undecided in the independent range. a question, are you certain you will vote? romney scores 86. obama, 31. directly ahead, should pbs, big bird, elmo and the crew be getting 450 million-dollar a year from we the people? actor lassar burton says yes. and then ben affleck has a new film on iran, somewhat controversial. affleck and burton moments away o i was having trouble getting out of bed in the morning because my back hurt so bad. the sleep number bed conforms to you. i wake up in the morning with no back pain. i can adjust it if i need to...if my back's a little more sore. and by the time i get up in the morning, i feel great! if you have back pain, toss and turn at night or wake up tired with no energy, the sleep number

11:24 pm
>> bill: personal story segment, as you know, there is a big
11:25 pm
brawl going on between president obama and mitt romney over whether the federal government should fund the corporation for public broadcasting which will get $450 million next year alone. big bird has become the symbol of the fight. there is a lot more going on besides big bird. joining us from los angeles, lavar burton who was the host for 26 years. i know you're deeply emotionally involved with this and your point of view what? just articulate it for the viewers tonight. >> i think that off the bat, we are missing the larger issue when we focus on big bird. what pbs represents for this country and has for an awfully long time is the ideal that we want to give equality education and access to a quality education for all of america's citizens and public broadcasting has been an agency and part of the machinery that has delivered
11:26 pm
quality education at no cost to the public for many, many years. >> bill: when you say at no cost to the public, it's $450 million a year. that's a lot of taxpayer cost. but let me just ask you this: i like pbs programming especially for kids. you did a nice job for a long time on that and it was very educational. the sesame workshop, which is the big driver on pbstv, their assets, according to the irs 2011 filing, $356 billion. that's what the sesame workshop is worth. so i'm going to submit to you, mr. burton, that they can compete in the free marketplace like cartoon channel and others because we're in an era where we have to bring down the spending. of two do it. and you say? >> i say you're missing the point, bill.
11:27 pm
if you're going to focus on the $414 million, you are missing the point. america has always claimed to be the nation that wants to provide a quality education to all of its citizens. and i'm not saying that pbs is perfect and you're quite right, the sesame workshop can take care of itself and we don't need to worry about big bird. he's gonna be fine. he's gonna be okay. but the underlying issue, bill, is how do we do the job of educating america's children and are we going to make them political footballs in this campaign? >> bill: you believe that if we pull -- if the deposit pulls the 450 million a year from pbs that education over the television airways directed at children is going to crumble and that will hurt kids?
11:28 pm
>> it's going to suffer. it's going to suffer. and there are already plenty of children falling through the crack, bill! come on, let's get real. we're either going to live up to the promise of this experiment that america is or we're going to advocate our responsibility and i think that that is the real issue here. take big bird out of the equation. it's about kids and education and the promise that america holds out to all those who live within our boundaries. >> bill: all right. very eloquent and articulate, we appreciate your point of view. thanks for coming on. then, dennis miller on the big bird controversy and the d man will analyze the upcoming debate between biden and ryan tomorrow night. next, should america attack iran if it doesn't stop its nuke weapons program? ben affleck will answer that question because he has directed a new movie about iran. we hope you stay tuned for those
11:29 pm
11:30 pm
11:31 pm
11:32 pm
>> bill: what to do about iran? looks like israel will not take military action until after the presidential election. but it's clear the israelis are not going to allow iran to develop a nuclear weapon and will use military force if necessary. meantime, sanctions against iran are hurting that country deeply as its currency is falling apart. ben affleck directed a film about iran and i spoke with him yesterday. so you make a movie about a time
11:33 pm
in history that a lot of people forget. 1979, iran has american hostages. >> indeed. >> bill: it's really hurting the carter administration. it's one of the reasons he lost to ronald reagan. why do you, a guy who wasn't conscious at that time, why do you want to make a movie like this? >> it was a great story. for one thing, it's a thriller. it's actually comedy with the hollywood satirea complicated c.i.a. movie, a political movie. and it's all true. >> bill: so you want to make an entertainment though about a serious subject, rescuing americans from a dictatorship, iran. >> i did. the serious aspect was this was a tribute to the folks in our clan did he say tine services and foreign service who are risking their lives over there tragically seeing examples of that very recently. and folks who are -- what they give up to serve us and to serve our country. >> bill: this is a valentine from ben affleck to the intelligence community. the same people who water boarded, the same peter who
11:34 pm
rendition, what are your liberal friends going to say to you? >> i don't worry too much about what my lib rap friends say. today i made a movie that my friends who are democrats and republicans can both watch. it's not a political movie. >> bill: you didn't in the back of your mind, you didn't say look, i'm glorifying some people who may be did bad things in the name of the country to protect it? >> i've been to the c.i.a. i met general david petraeus. these are extraordinary honorable people at the c.i.a. make no mistake. >> bill: sounds good to army now, iran, again, influencing presidential election because of the nuke thing. >> i'm worried about it in the sense that everyone has a trouble spot. this is the same regime in my movie in 1979 can khomeini, the same mentality. we're still dealing with them. if they got a bomb, i think everybody thinks that would be trouble. i'm just an amateur pundit, but my feeling is that one has to also be jew did she judicious.
11:35 pm
>> bill: what does that mean? you strangle them with sanctions, which seems to be work right now 'cause their currency is collapsing. or you give netanyahu the okay to go in if it reach has certain point and whack them. my understanding is that netanyahu. >> rick: -- >> israel is not capable of whacking them to the extent they need to be whacked and i wouldn't outsores foreign policy to any other government. i would be judicious in the high percentage of americans don't want to see another war and one ought to be careful before one engages in war. however, we have to have a line beyond which we say this is not acceptable in iran. >> bill: so if that line were crossed by iran and they were very close, you wouldn't oppose military action to stop their nuclear program? >> i wouldn't oppose military action, but the question is where the line is. >> bill: that's always the question. >> i wouldn't be backed into the line. >> bill: all right. now, you're a democrat, big obama supporter this time around? >> i like obama on the major
11:36 pm
issue, i think he's done a good job. i'm gog vote for him. >> bill: if you had to point to one thing about president obama that he's accomplished that has impressed you what, would it be? >> well, i mean, accomplished. >> bill: name one. >> he's advocated and tried to do a number of things and he's been stymied. his major policy goal, changing the tax structure. so that the wealthy pay their fair share, to me, is of towering importance. >> bill: do you believe in income redistribution? >> any time we change the tax code -- >> bill: no, no. >> changing the tax code a little bit. >> bill: there is a philosophy among liberal americans and you and i are fat cats, we're 1%ers. >> indeed. >> bill: the philosophy is affleck and o'reilley, they can pony up 40, 45% of what they got. we'll spread it around. >> i thought we were going to return to the prebush tax cut numbers. but yes. i don't know what your nut looks like, but i don't spend so much that i can't afford to pay a little bit more in taxes and i
11:37 pm
think that's important. i think the stimulus was a good thing by and large. i think it was absolutely necessary. i think it saved us from getting deep noor recession. but i'm not here to give you obama talking points. >> bill: no, no. we're interested in you and what you think. last question, if the president loses to mitt romney because you're a massachusetts guy, he was the governor of the state. >> indeed. >> bill: are -- >> i know mitt romney. i met him. very nice guy. >> bill: you're not going to move out of the country or something? you be all right? >> i hope not. i think president obama is in good shape. i would put money on president obama? >> bill: how much money you want to put on it? 'cause i got dick morris back here. the movie is "argo." ben affleck, we appreciate it. it's gotten great reviews. it opens on friday. when we come back, dennis miller takes on big bird, biden and ryan. miller is next look at those toys. insurance must be expensive.

11:42 pm
'cause i'm getting tired of hearing big bird. levin, sesame vet made 356 bucks. they don't need more sesame seed money. people like lavar, who is a nice guy and sandra fluke have to realize that they're missing the big point. we're broke. if we spend a whole lot more money, the chinese who now own big bird, are going to come in, defeather him, glaze him and serve him as peacing big bird. and make $350 million a year and i'm wondering if we have to participate in it. why don't they kick in some back end towards the national debt? why does a creep like bill moyers get the back end money? start giving the american people their taste. >> bill: i want to stop you there. two things. big bird isn't a duck. and miller is -- >> no reason to tackle me over jokes. i'm trying to do jokes. you secret service, for god's
11:43 pm
sake. >> bill: i didn't want chinese people to be offended. the back end line that you just dropped on everybody needs to be explained. bill moyers, in addition to having his dopey program funded by miller and me and you, all right, gets videotapes of said program that we pay for and sells them! and that money doesn't come back to us. guess where it goes! where does it go, miller? where does the dvd money go? >> to bill moyers. >> bill: yes! that's the con! and -- all of the merchandising for big bird, all of the little elmo, tickle me elmo, tickle me bill moyers, tickle everybody. it ain't coming back to the taxpayer. it's going in somebody's pocket. that's the con. miller? >> they always talk about lessons our kids can learn. money in equals money out. it's a good lesson. i think everybody's got to start pulling their own oar in this country. there is more to it than
11:44 pm
puppets. there is money in equals money out. nice lesson for our kids. that's the big point they're missing. >> bill: all right. i'm just trying to think peking, big bird. got to be marinaded. >> i like a nice sobu noodle with t. speaking of empty headed puppets that you can put your hand up in their skull, let's talk about biden. >> bill: i knew it! i knew it! >> the stuff in his head makes sawdust look like beluga caviar. all right? sheriff bide sun an international chew toy and they better put appear air bag into that podium so he doesn't hurt himself against paul ryan. biden is the guy that said we should partition off iraq into three separate regions and that's appropriate because he has a curve for a brain and sunni, he's going to get the shia kicked out of him by paul ryan. >> bill: do you think ryan is going to go after biden?
11:45 pm
>> listen, i think biden could be debating himself and hurt himself. okay? >> bill: he doesn't have to. all he has to too is stand back and let the car wreck happen. >> listen, you heard the -- spencer tracy said say your line. that's what romney did last night. he was solid. he's in there. biden is going to flick all around and he's going to do all this little crap stuff. but he's insecure intellectually. anyone who pronounce it is tells me that he's afraid of his own brain power. they have ted olson simulating biden in the debate prep with paul ryan. i don't know how you simulate biden. you must have an unlit pilot room in the rehearsal space or unlit pilot light in the rehearsal space. that's how ted olson dumb it is down of the when they put that final hair plug into biden, they went in a little too deep with the ratchet, and i think they severed a discernment lobe up front. when he has to get out of the bubble, when he has to get out
11:46 pm
of the bubble at the end of this term and go back into the real world, he's going to be more screwed than jimmy witmore on the shahshank connection bagging groceries. he won't know how to be in the outside world. >> bill: you don't really like the vice president, do you, miller? >> i didn't like that in chains thing, billy. that's crap! listen, sometimes you get these people a wide birth, i can't do that. i think that was crap to debase racism with stupid crap like mitt romney wants to do that. racism is the great national shame. for him to co- opt it for crap like that, to be the cool guy in the room, i've had it with joe biden! >> bill: we were he were going to do warren and brown, we'll put that off for next week 'cause i didn't want to interrupt miller describing the vice president and his strengths and weaknesses, although the strengths kind of eluded me in that monologue. did i miss it? >> like i said, billy, you're often tough on the defenders on this show and you're more -- you give more room to the other people. i made my point the best i
11:47 pm
could. i'm sorry if you find it lacking. >> bill: no, no, no. not me, miller. because i don't want you to direct your ire at me. nothing lacking. >> listen, they ought to replace elizabeth warren up there with somebody competent in the boston area like bobby valentine. [ laughter ] >> bill: the departed manager of the red sox. and miller and i would like to you know, the tickets are available, but just two bold or fresher shows. all the other ones sold out. saturday, november 24, houston, texas. saturday, december 8, salt lake city, utah. information on bill billoreilly. also my only solo appearance before the presidential election will be at the hard rock hotel, broward county, florida, on friday, october 26. we'll be discussing the election by that time. i may have a prediction. did you see this? young actress vilified for supporting mitt romney. that report after these messages [ male announcer ] there are only so many foods

11:50 pm
11:51 pm
>> bill: back of the book segment tonight, did you see that? we begin with cbs news correspondent lara logan who apparently believes the usa is not being tough enough on terrorism. in a recent speech, she cites the obama administration's position that al-qaeda is nearly defeated. >> knew we were being lied to and i knew that the american people were being misled and when it comes to issues that i care about, like issues of national security, i don't think that politics should dictate your national security policy. the head of the c.i.a., other people, officials in the administration love to tell us today that there are only 50 al-qaeda left in afghanistan and the impression that we're given is that they're one direct strike away from obliteration and that's just simply not true.
11:52 pm
they know it's not true. >> bill: all right. here now, miss juliet sudden huddy. she's on "60 minutes." >> she's amazing journalist. she's a young woman, really the example of what a true journalist should be for men and for women journalist. she goes out, this girl is early 40s, won multiple awards, emmies. >> bill: she was the one sexually assaulted in cairo. >> right. >> bill: horrible situation. she is teed off. she doesn't believe the american people are being told the truth about al-qaeda. >> absolutely. again, look at the little kyron, she works for cbs. not exactly the bastion of conservatism. she goes and gives this speech after she's done a long series in afghanistan, boots on the ground, she's there with all these people there, seeing what's going on of the she gives a speech to a group of journalists, really high powered people. she didn't dance around, didn't mince words. >> bill: she's from south africa, by the way.
11:53 pm
i think she's married to a american citizen. okay. second one is actress named stacy dash, in the movie "clueless." apparently she is supporting mitt romney this time around after voting for president obama last time. she's getting a lot of heat. roll the tape. >> people are going to have their own opinion and that's the point. we're alights booted to our opinion. and i used my platform to exercise my first amendment right as an american citizen to say who i am choosing to vote for. it's my constitutional right to have my choice and who i want to vote for for president. >> that's a habit. >> and i chose him not by the color of his skin, but the content of his character. >> bill: so what happened to her had she came public? >> she was attacked viciously on twitter, everything, calling her an old hag. really went after the whole race thing. basically saying she's turning on her race, that kind of thing.
11:54 pm
what she said was look -- >> bill: how does this stuff get out? where does it go? the internet? >> twitter. >> bill: i know what twitter is. but can you see it? >> yeah, you can see everything going on. in fact, i was out having din better a friend of mine yesterday, not knowing the story was going on and my friend was saying he was on her twitter site. one friend twittered him and tweeted and they're all tweeting each other and he said he was responding back to her and saying, don't let them get you down. yeah. really, it goes out there. >> bill: then it's picked up by the internet sites, political internet sites and they list all this crap that said and people respond to that and back and forth. right? some of it's really vicious, racially motivated. >> she said i'm looking at the character of the person running. not the color of their skin. >> bill: juliet huddy. factor tip of the day, delivered by two tv stars, the tip, 60 seconds away [ male announcer ] you like who you are...
